Activity Description: Join Hannah (SERT) and Belinda (MSEP) for a Christmas litter pick to remove plastic pollution and other litter from the Medway Estuary at Riverside Country Park, Gillingham. Feel free to wear festive attire! We’ll then categorise our finds to help gather data on the main sources of plastic pollution in the Medway. - 10.00 Meet at Motney Hill car park for welcome, event safety briefing and event start.
- 11:30 End of litter pick. Beginning of litter categorisation.
- 12:00 End of event. Hand washing and refreshments.
Meeting Point: We will meet at the Motney Hill reserve car park at 10am. Find the exact location here.
What to bring: We’ll be providing water, hot drinks and biscuits – but please bring along your own reusable mug to help us reduce Covid risks.
Please wear comfortable, closed toe shoes (walking boots or wellies if you have them), and dress appropriately for the weather (festive attire welcome!).
Covid precautions: Please do not attend this event if you, or a member of your household, has any symptoms of covid-19.
