Activity Description: Join Harry and Robyn (South East Rivers Trust) in carrying out habitat management at Hackbridge on the Wandle. We will be cutting back encroaching scrub in order to diversify the bank side flora, and will also be carrying out a thorough litter pick of the area.
Times:
- 0930 Meet for welcome, safety briefing and event start
- 1200 Lunch
- 1430 End of event. Hand washing and refreshments
Meeting Point: We will meet on the NE bank of the Wandle on the grassy area between Nightingale Road and Riverbank Way. Find the exact location here.
Parking is available in Hackbridge Park Gardens SM5 2HD – please be considerate of the residents and do not block drives or pathways.
What to bring: We’ll be providing water, hot drinks and biscuits – but please bring along gardening gloves (we will have spares), lunch, and your own reusable mug to help us reduce Covid risks.
Please wear comfortable, closed toe shoes (walking boots or wellies if you have them), and dress appropriately for the weather.
Covid precautions: Please do not attend this event if you, or a member of your household, has any symptoms of covid-19.
