World Rivers Day Tidy-up at Riverside Gardens
September 24 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free
Volunteering is a great way to connect with and care for your local river, while enjoying the outdoors with others.
To mark World Rivers Day 2023, we invite you to come and join in with a riverside litter pick along the Gatwick Stream in Horley.
In partnership with the River Mole River Watch group and other local action groups we aim to remove as much litter as possible from this much loved local green space. We will also have a range of other river related activities on offer for all ages to enjoy!
Come and find out more about our Mending the Upper Mole Project (MUM’s the word!).
Meeting Point: Riverside Garden Park car park RH6 7LN. See poster for a map of the location.
Parking is available but limited. Come by public transport if at all possible.
Activities will take place on the green. These will include a river walk, water quality monitoring demonstration and wooden fish decorating for kids.
Litter picking equipment will be loaned on the day. Please wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather.
