Rain garden comes to life!

Last Autumn, as part of our SuDS in Sutton’s Schools project, an Open Day was held at our Denmark Road rain garden.  Children from local schools were invited to engage in a range of activities, including planting bulbs in and around the rain garden.

And now, the first daffodil has flowered!

More daffodils are soon to follow.  Other plants are also beginning to sprout new leaves.

The periwinkle plants have been flowering all winter long but they are now starting to attract the attention of butterflies and bees – can you spot them?

Not long before the whole thing springs to life!  While the garden is changing almost daily, there is also the chance to have a look at the newly installed sign that includes illustrations from local illustrator – Jane Porter. So, if you are in the area, stop by and have a look!
