Head of Finance
We are looking for a freelance contractor to serve as Head of Finance in a dynamic and fast growing not-for-profit environment. As the Head of Finance, you will lead on the finance function of the organisation. You will oversee, and be supported by, a Finance and Administration Officer to deliver high quality financial accounting and reporting across the Trust and its projects. You will oversee a range of finance functions and work closely with the Trust Director.

This position will be key in the charity’s day to day function, working closely with the Head of Finance and the Trust Director. The role will suit a well organised and highly motivated person with good communication skills and knowledge of accounting and Sage.

We are pleased to welcome a new member of Staff to the South East Rivers Trust: Chris Gardner, our new Catchment Manager.
Chris has joined us with 17 years of experience as a fisheries scientist in both the public and private sectors. He has also led on a number of peer reviewed papers on fish migrations ranging from coarse fish in large lowland rivers to salmonids (trout and salmon) in chalk streams like the Wandle.
Chris will be helping us deliver the Catchment Based Approach across our area in the south east, working closely with our partners to deliver ecological benefits to our rivers and their catchments.

Laurence joins the Wandle Trust / South East Rivers Trust as our Catchment Partnerships Officer. He will work with our partners from across the South East to identify how to improve their local rivers.
