Thomas McCarthy

Thomas is the Catchment Monitoring Officer at the South East Rivers Trust.

He has a degree in ecology and environmental biology from University College Cork, in Ireland. He has experience from the Irish Environmental Protection Agency where he worked on estuaries and gained his passion for working on rivers. He has just completed his Masters in water and environmental management, studying at Queen Mary University of London.

In his role at SERT, he will be working mainly on the River Beult, to design a water quality and quantity monitoring programme to evidence the impact of Nature-based Solutions on the river.
