Plough Lane Cleanup – River Wandle

Activity Description: Join us to remove plastic pollution, other litter and fly-tipping from the River Wandle in the London Borough of Merton. Don waders and pull rubbish from the river or help out along the banks at this litter hot spot near Plough Lane.

Meeting point: Entrance to the Wandle Trail on Plough Lane. Nearest Postcode SW19 8HA. Map of location can be found HERE.

What to bring: gardening gloves (they will get wet so you may want to avoid expensive leather ones), hand sanitiser, face mask and any water or food you may want. We’ll be providing hot drinks at lunch – but¬†please bring along your own mug to help us reduce covid risks.

Covid precautions: Please do not attend this event if you, or a member of your household, has any symptoms of covid-19. We also ask if everyone who is able could take a quick lateral flow test before coming to the event. This is not a hard and fast requirement for you to attend the event but is highly recommended to help us keep your fellow volunteers safe. If you get a positive test Рplease do not attend the event and follow Government guidance. Also please can everyone try to maintain social distancing as much as possible.
