Jonathon Stevens

Jonathon is the South East Rivers Trust’s Catchment Monitoring Officer. He monitors the water quality and quantity issues facing our catchments and builds data sets that will be used as evidence-based design for current and future nature-based solutions to improve our waterways/environment.

He has an MSc in Freshwater & Marine Ecology, with a BSc in Environmental Science. Jonathon previously worked at an Environmental Consultancy carrying out monitoring for many varied clients on rivers and waterbodies, but also ground waters, and ground gases.

He has also volunteered on a groundbreaking coral hybridization project (Project Coral), at the Horniman Museum Aquarium, working closely with Dr Jamie Craggs and looking at the water quality within the research tanks.

In his spare time, Jonathon enjoys watching football and is a Charlton Athletic season ticket holder. He also enjoys boxing and attends Roosters Boxing Gym in Bermondsey. He enjoys the thrill of the outdoors, exploring waterways locally and also while travelling.
